Job description
As a Chemical Distribution Systems Engineer (CDS), you will be the system owner and subject matter expert for Chemical Dispense Systems (CDS), Gas Dispense Systems (GDS), Slurry Dispense Systems (SDS) and Chemical Dispense Systems (GDS) at our new state-of-the-art semiconductor fab in Dresden. Your role will ensure system safety, operations excellence, reliability, efficiency, and compliance while driving continuous improvement and innovation. You will collaborate with internal teams, external service providers, and technicians to optimize operations, develop technical documentation, and support new installations and upgrades., 1. New challenges: Become part of the facility team to build ESMC's 300mm semiconductor fab.
- System Ownership & Optimization: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical Chemical Dispense Systems, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM) job plans, Operating Instructions (OI), standard operating procedures (SOPs), Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP), and Training; identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Review and analyze data for equipment/systems to increase efficiency and safety and ensure uninterruptible supply of the system within specifications.
- Project Involvement: Support system design, construction, and commissioning for new installations and upgrades.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings, reliability improvements, and integration of best practices.
- Training & Collaboration: Provide technical training to technicians and engineers, foster knowledge sharing, and act as a mentor for junior engineers.
- Incident Management: Manage to integrate reliability focus and risk analysis to include Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and 6S/8D problem solving methods on any equipment failures or impacts to production.
Requirements
Qualifications and Education:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Must have experience:
- 10+ years of relevant post education experience with Gas & Chemical Dispense Systems in design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
- Strong knowledge in operation and regulatory compliance of industrial processing plant or semiconductor experience is preferred.
- Experience with facilities engineering of industrial processing plant, project management, and troubleshooting.
Language Skills:
- Fluent German and English language skills.
Professional Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, discipline-specific software (i.e., AutoCAD, Revit, CAFM etc.), technology, math principles and predictive models
