Job description

As an IT Security Engineer, your primary duties will include:

  • Design and Implementation: Conceptualize, implement, and monitor advanced IT security measures in a security-focused organization.
  • Threat Analysis: Independently identify potential attack scenarios and evaluate the technical efficiency of implemented security solutions, particularly in cloud-based environments.
  • Policy Development: Actively participate in developing and implementing company-wide security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Technology Integration: Select and implement IT security products, assist with certifications and audits, and provide second- and third-level support in the security domain.
  • Documentation: Focus on documentation, process descriptions, and managing tickets in the ticketing system.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT-focused education.
  • Professional Experience: Several years of experience in designing and administering IT security systems, as well as IT security management.
  • Standards & Frameworks Knowledge: Familiarity with IT security standards (e.g., BSI 200-1 to 200-4), ISO/IEC 27000 series, and current cybersecurity requirements.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of ITIL structures and certifications such as CISSP, TISSP, CISA, or CISM is an advantage.
  • Work Ethic: A self-reliant and responsible approach, combined with analytical, quality-focused, and goal-oriented thinking.
  • Teamwork & Language Skills: Strong teamwork skills and proficiency in both written and spoken English, German minimum B2/C1
