Job description
DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating the shared platform used by Product and Web teams. They participate in cross-functional troubleshooting and incident response, owning infrastructure/platform issues and supporting developers with platform-related application debugging. They contribute to platform reliability and self-service capabilities, including the ECK-based Elasticsearch/ELK stack, and participate in a shared on-call rotation.
- Operate and continuously improve production platform services across on-prem and hosted environments
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management for VMs, networking, Kubernetes clusters, and platform services
- Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters and core components; improve day-2 operations (upgrades, patching, capacity, reliability)
- Operate and improve CI/CD infrastructure and deployment tooling with a focus on safe, repeatable delivery
- Own platform observability: log pipelines, dashboards, alert rules; reduce noisy and recurring incidents
- Partner with Product/Web teams to validate operational readiness (logging, metrics, health checks) prior to go-live
- Respond to incidents/outages, deliver fixes, and keep runbooks and documentation current
- Collaborate with Product/Web teams to onboard and migrate services onto the platform; improve platform usability and self-service
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (including occasional night shifts)
