Senior Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will drive innovative projects in intralogistics - in the interdisciplinary, international environment of the SSI SCHAEFER Group using both classic and new technologies.

• You will take responsibility for innovative data science projects and, in addition to the conception, will also be responsible for evaluating the projects with regard to business objectives.
• You independently develop complex algorithms and AI/ML models.
• You actively seek information about the latest research findings.
• You suggest best practices for increasing the efficiency of data science projects.
• You are the contact person for internal colleagues and share your know-how to achieve success together.

• Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, statistics
• At least 5 years of experience in data science with a focus on LLMs
• Willingness to travel < 15%
• Expert knowledge in NLP, LLMs and Agentic AI
• Excellent knowledge of Python and related libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) as well as SQL
• Practical experience with frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, scikit-learn
• Fundamentals of MLOps, Deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• Knowledge of intralogistics and its challenges
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and software engineering
