Requirements

Do you have experience in Teaching?, Do you have a Doctoral degree?, We are looking for a person with a university degree in design or a comparable design programme and a corresponding doctorate or doctorate-equivalent achievements in accordance with the State Higher Education Act., * Comprehensive skills and abilities in the areas of cross-media campaigns and content creation, as well.

  • as in the areas of web and responsive design, which must be proven by work samples from professional practice.
  • Skills in the field of media production and design.
  • A confident command of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Java and their further developments.
  • Additional knowledge or practical experience in at least three of the following areas: App-/mobile design, corporate media, digital storytelling, web development, basics of media technology.
  • A portfolio with meaningful and relevant work samples that demonstrate your outstanding design achievements, as well as any prizes, awards or publications.

The subject areas are to be represented both in teaching and in applied research. We expect very good didactical skills as well as the willingness to participate in the exchange with our international partner universities and to offer courses in English. In addition, we expect committed participation in teaching basic subjects and possibly giving lectures in related subject areas.

We expect the applicant to integrate themselves well into the existing team both professionally and personally, to get involved in the academic self-administration of our university and to enjoy imparting knowledge from their own professional experience to the students.

About the company

The university has a large number of collaborations with universities and research institutions such as Max Planck Institutes and Fraunhofer Institutes as well as companies. Intensifying and expanding these collaborations is highly desired. Active participation in the university's research activities is desired. In this context, we strive to increase third-party funding and the number of cooperative doctorates. We advocate a supervision concept that requires a high level of presence of the teaching staff at the university campus. German language skills (at least level C1) and English language skills are required. Teaching language ist mainly German.
