Job description
- Develop and implement software and algorithms for autonomous mobile robots, focusing on localization, navigation, and perception.
- Test and validate new features in both simulation environments and real-world robot deployments.
- Optimize code performance, improving efficiency, reducing computational overhead, and ensuring real-time responsiveness.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging robotics algorithms, evaluating their feasibility and impact on system performance.
- Support system integration and deployment, assisting in testing and troubleshooting robots at customer sites.
- Manage documentation and knowledge sharing, including organizing code repositories, maintaining technical reports, and creating user manuals to support internal teams and customers.
Requirements
Working student robotics software engineering (m/f/d)
Pixel Robotics, * Hands-on experience with ROS / ROS2 for robotic system development.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++, with familiarity in Git/GitHub and Linux being a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a structured and proactive approach to work.
- Creativity and initiative, with a passion for tackling engineering challenges in robotics.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take ownership and drive results.
- Team-oriented mindset, demonstrating a friendly, empathetic, and collaborative attitude.
- Educational background: Currently enrolled in or completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field.
