Senior Frontend-Focused Engineer About the Company: Join a leading international insurance multinational with its main headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. You will be part of a highly experienced, fully remote, and international team responsible for building and scaling next-generation cloud solutions. This position offers the flexibility of remote work from anywhere in Spain, while collaborating daily with global teams. The Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer with 7+ years of professional experience and a strong specialisation in building modern, complex user interfaces. You will drive the development of responsive web applications, design the necessary APIs, and manage the associated AWS infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Lead Modern Frontend Development: Drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of responsive, high-performance web applications using Angular or similar modern JavaScript frameworks. API Design Integration: Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable RESTful APIs specifically to support complex frontend requirements. AWS Cloud Engineering: Design and manage core AWS infrastructure, focusing on ensuring the secure and highly available deployment of web applications and APIs. Data Processing: Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to curate data and ensure high data quality for internal monitoring and analytics tools. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and maintain infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaS tools, leveraging Terraform where possible. DevOps CI/CD: Establish and manage automated CI/CD pipelines relevant to both frontend and backend deployments. Collaboration Mentorship: Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and international engineering teams, contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring junior colleagues. Essential Skills Qualifications (Must-Haves): Skill Area Requirement Years of Experience Total Experience Professional experience in software engineering/development. 7+ years Frontend Development Angular or comparable modern JavaScript framework (hands-on proficiency). 5+ years API Experience Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable APIs. 3+ years Cloud Engineering Strong hands-on experience in AWS (CI/CD, deployment, and infrastructure management). 3+ years Language Proficiency Perfect / Native-level English (mandatory for daily collaboration with international teams). Highly Desirable Skills (Nice to Have): Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. Experience in Data Engineering, including ETL processes and data curation techniques.
