The Product Owner is responsible for the back office tools, reports and systems used by the various Operations teams (Growth, Customer Support, Development, marketing, Payment Security, Integrity, and Payment Services), some player facing functionality, and new platforms or licenses for all of Operations.

The role of the Product owner is to identify and evaluate system improvements and after Group management approval, to plan out development projects and develop business requirement specifications.

The Product Owner will work with software teams during development and test,release and track usage and value delivered.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external software development teams to identify and clarify development requirements
  • Project manage operational, training and support requirements for new systems deployments
  • Analyse stakeholder workflows and report potential improvements to Group management
  • Project manage and co-ordinate change management required for rollout of new developments and platforms
  • Assess feature requests for feasibility and value and report the outcome to COO
  • Create plans to be approved by the COO for multiple release cycles and functional specifications for projects in accordance with stakeholder objectives
  • Manage the configurations for back office tools
  • Complete user-acceptance testing of new developments and document release notes
  • Investigate, document and resolve post-development issues identified in production systems.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate must either have at least 3 years of experience as a product owner in a similar role or at least 4 years of experience in an operations environment, preferably within online gaming with an excellent understanding of operations processes and software.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise high volumes of responsibilities autonomously without delays in deliverables

  • Educated to degree level in computer science or another technology related discipline or demonstrable technical experience such that they can work comfortably with developers, data analysts, and make tool configurations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interest and aptitude in defining business requirements for software development

  • Strong relationship management skills - ability to relate to business users and software developers

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Superb attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Project management qualification or experience
  • Some experience working with databases and knowledge of programming
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles
