Job description

Our teams work in highly agile environments for Fortune 500 clients, following XP practices and best CI/CD practices. We are looking for a Java developer with an open-minded personality, who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts.

Remote working from anywhere in Spain is welcome! What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy software applications
  • Design, code, debug, and enhance Java-based components of the platform
  • Conduct troubleshooting and resolve technical issues
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Adhere to software development best practices and coding standards
  • Ensure the platform's performance, security, and scalability
  • Collaborate with the customer and teams in other locations daily
  • Work closely with senior engineers, PMs, BAs, and business users (clients) to find the best possible technical solutions for the project

Requirements

Do you have a software engineering background and strong knowledge of Java? Are you an open-minded professional with good English skills? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity to join EPAM as a Senior Java Developer., * 5+ years of experience as a Java developer

  • Excellent knowledge of Core Java
  • Understanding of caching concepts
  • Knowledge of Java frameworks for databases (Hibernate, JDBC, etc.)
  • Good understanding of frameworks such as Spring or Spark Java
  • Experience working in an agile environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with low-latency applications
  • Hazelcast or cloud-based caching solutions
  • Active MQ
  • SOAP services, Tomcat
