Software Engineer - STACKIT Control Plane Core Platform

• In the STACKIT Control Plane Platform Team, you are primarily responsible for building the STACKIT API Platform. Your goal is to enable internal stakeholders to securely publish and consume APIs by developing and providing features such as rate limiting, authentication, quota enforcement, and monitoring.
• You continuously design and improve our software architecture, keeping availability, resilience, scalability, and performance in mind.
• You act as a technical sparring partner for your colleagues. Through code reviews and the evaluation of architectural proposals, you ensure the future-proofing of our solutions.
• You implement secure and thoroughly tested code and maintain our existing software stack.
• You automate operational tasks wherever possible and ensure that our software scales efficiently with growing requirements.

• You have significant experience developing complex software systems and bring in-depth knowledge of distributed system architecture.
• You are proficient in backend development - ideally with Go, but experience in Java or Kotlin is also welcome.
• Working with REST and gRPC is part of your daily routine.
• You have experience with service meshes and are also familiar with API proxies such as Envoy.
• You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting other developers, fostering growth within the team.
