Job description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to take a leading role in operating and evolving the Kubernetes platform that underpins our high-availability, B2C services. This role is central to the reliability, scalability, and security of our production systems.
You will work hands-on with Kubernetes clusters running across a hybrid environment (bare metal and cloud), while contributing to the broader evolution of our internal platform, engineering standards, and operational practices., * Own the operation, reliability, and evolution of our Kubernetes clusters in production, across both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure for containerized workloads.
- Lead cluster lifecycle management: upgrades, capacity planning, performance tuning, and failure recovery.
- Implement and manage secrets management, networking, and access control in a Kubernetes-first environment.
- Ensure platform reliability through strong SLO/SLI definitions, alerting, and participation in incident response and postmortems.
Automation, Reliability & Observability
- Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps principles.
- Build and maintain full-stack observability (metrics, logs, traces) for platform and workloads.
- Continuously improve operational excellence through better alerting, runbooks, and reliability practices inspired by SRE principles.
- Contribute to capacity, performance, and cost optimization initiatives across the platform.
Platform Evolution & Engineering Standards
- Contribute to the design and evolution of our hybrid platform architecture, working closely with the Head of Engineering.
- Help define and maintain platform standards for security, reliability, and infrastructure tooling.
- Maintain clear, high-quality documentation to support self-service and knowledge sharing across teams.
Developer Enablement & CI/CD
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub, Jenkins) for containerized microservices.
- Support developer teams by improving deployment workflows and operational tooling.
- Collaborate on self-service infrastructure initiatives that improve developer productivity, without detracting from core platform responsibilities.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles.
- Deep, hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production, including upgrades, scaling, and incident response.
- Experience managing hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem / bare metal) for high-traffic systems.
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Solid understanding of observability, alerting, and reliability engineering.
- The ability to take ownership of complex systems and improve them incrementally and sustainably.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Nice to haves are:
- Experience with database platforms at scale (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Strong networking fundamentals in high-availability environments.
- Prior startup experience helping define platform or infrastructure standards.
