Principal Software Engineer (remote in the Netherlands)

Our engineers and product managers work closely together with cyber security experts to make sure that their hacker's mindset is embedded in our platform. About the role:

• Translate our business goals into a cohesive, long-term technology strategy, with a focus on scalability and security.
• Champion the creation of architecture agreements, ensuring consistency and best practices across our technology landscape.
• Mentor and elevate the capabilities of our existing engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accelerating skill development.
• Proactively evaluate emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to gain a competitive edge and enhance our overall security posture.
• Break down silos and facilitate collaboration across teams, ensuring a unified technology vision throughout the company.
• The role is remote, but you commit to traveling to the office bi-weekly.

What you will need:

• 15+ years of experience in designing and leading scalable technology solutions for high-growth, preferably SaaS-based businesses.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and best practices in a cloud-based environment.
• Proven track record of building complex architectures in AWS
• Experience with building software in Go and Python is great but not a hard requirement.
• Proven track record of coaching and mentoring high-performing engineering teams and individuals.
• Experience in evaluating and integrating new technologies into existing systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
• Experience with working in a start-up/scale-up environment.
