Senior Software Developer

Within our (SCG) we are looking for a versatile Senior Software Developer to strengthen our team in Arnhem.

Smart Cable Guard is an innovative online multi-functional monitoring system for medium-voltage (MV) power cable networks. The system has two unique functions: detect and locate weak spots (before they result in a fault causing a power outage) and detect and locate faults in underground power cables. The automated system immediately gives a warning when problems arise. Most of SCG software is offered as a SaaS solution through multiple data centers for customers worldwide. Are you passionate about software solutions and want to develop start of the art bespoke solutions with AI models embedded and join a passionate team working closely with Grid utilities and wind farm owners / operators in improving the resilience and reliability of their grids this will be the job for you.

Your main responsibilities

• To deliver bespoke software within the agreed time, costs, and quality standards.

• Participate in and support all phases of bespoke software solutions including gathering and clarification of requirements, production of technical specifications, software design, implementation, deployment, support of UAT training, documentation, ongoing support, and progress reporting.

• Communicate with various people and senior staff on critical technical issues.

• Clarify and fine-tune requirements together with Product Owner and / or customers.

• Work together with data scientists and domain specialists to design, develop, test and implement our advanced algorithms.

• Shape the architecture of our Software platform.

• Work together with our embedded software developers to get the most out of the monitoring solution. A challenging and varied job in a dynamic and international environment. • Master of Science in Computer Science.

• Extensive Professional experience in a software development role.

• Capability to fulfill a technical lead role in software development.

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework.

• Experience with React, .NET and and C#.

• Experience developing and scaling REST APIs for various platforms.

• Experience designing and developing distributed and event-driven systems.

• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.

• Experience in the use and configuration of Redis, Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes in an Azure platform
