Senior Software Developer

At Danfoss Climate Solutions, in our office in Gorinchem (Netherlands), we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a highly technical and collaborative team. You will work in an agile (Scrum) environment where modern cloud-native practices meet complex existing software landscapes, including embedded and industrial systems.

This role requires strong engineering maturity, architectural thinking, and the ability to balance innovation with real-world constraints.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and evolve scalable software architectures, ensuring long-term maintainability and technical sustainability
• Work confidently within complex existing systems, including legacy and embedded components, without losing sight of future improvements
• Develop and maintain backend and full-stack solutions using Microsoft-based technologies and modern frameworks
• Build and optimize APIs and system integrations across distributed environments
• Contribute to system modernization initiatives, including migration towards .NET Core / .NET 6/8 architectures
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively contributing to technical decisions and continuous improvement

• Solid experience as a Senior Software Engineer in structured environments, working on complex systems with end-to-end responsibility.
• Strong expertise in .NET (C# and modern .NET), with the ability to design and deliver scalable, maintainable backend solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with iterative delivery processes.
• Strong understanding of software design and architecture, with a structured approach and focus on long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders, combined with a strong sense of ownership.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, required for communication with local customers and stakeholders.
