At Library and Information Services (LIS) we look ahead, together with our scientists and students, and constantly provide the best possible library and information services to enable the creation of this new knowledge.
Are you ready to lead innovation in platforms, infrastructure, and security? As a Product Area Lead you will be responsible for one of the seven product areas within Library and Information Services (LIS) organization. The Platforms, Infrastructure and Security product area manages the data center and cloud services, integration services, identity and access management, and protects the IT infrastructure against cyber threats. It also manages end-user devices for TU/e employees and students, and services to enable end-user collaboration.
As a Product Area Lead, you are overall responsible for the product area's portfolio and operational stability. You also drive the vision of the LIS organization and your product area across the product teams, and you will build an excellent product area organization to successfully deliver high quality products. You will also be responsible for further development of the services of your product area., * Ensuring strategic alignment, align the product area's portfolio with the organization's strategic goals and translate these into a sharp vision and roadmap;
- Being a business partner and collaborate closely with service departments, faculties, and other stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions;
- Facilitating portfolio & Budget Management balancing and prioritization of content and funding on a running basis;
- Make deliberate choices between standardization vs. customization that enhance efficiency, security, and user experience;
- Ensuring that services meet high quality standards, legal requirements, and security benchmarks;
- You will work in close collaboration with the Competence Manager linked to your product area, to ensure role-modelling (defining a joint way forward), innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, growth and success of the product teams and individual professionals;
- Define release plans (roadmaps) within close cooperation with Product Owners, including decommissioning outdated systems and ensuring non-functional requirements (security, stability, maintainability);
- Take ownership in incident & risk management and in resolving complex issues and communicate clearly with stakeholders;
- Handling end-to-end working business services across various applications/ products and technology layers;

Requirements
Do you have a Master's degree?, * You show an academic working and thinking level, preferably supported by a master's degree, and bring substantial experience in IT infrastructure management, device management, and security operations;
- You have a strong understanding of current and future IT challenges within platforms, infrastructure, and security, including cloud transformation and cybersecurity trends;
- You show senior agile leadership by acting as a role model and interact effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels;
- You serve as an ambassador for the values and capabilities that enable product teams to succeed, fostering collaboration and innovation;
- You work as a self-starter with a strong customer focus and know how to build bridges;
- You combine strategic vision with a practical, hands-on approach to inspire and motivate colleagues within the product area;
- You drive results with a clear view of the bigger picture, make decisive choices, and have proven experience in implementing organizational adjustments and change initiatives;
- Communicative and collaboration oriented, with an ability to develop trust among stakeholders;
- Strong convincing Dutch and English communication skills.
Benefits & conditions
- A monthly salary of minimum €6.512,- to maximum €7.904,- for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 13 collective labor agreement for Dutch Universities).
