DevOps Engineer

My customer is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer with strong cloud and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise to support the delivery of a large-scale Azure application migration and modernisation programme.

This role requires a Security Cleared DevOps professional with solid, hands-on experience in Azure, Terraform, and GitHub.

The chosen DevOps engineer will be involved throughout the full development lifecycle, contributing to the design, automation, and implementation of secure cloud solutions., * Oversee the transition of applications into the Azure environment.

• Lead teams through the change from Microsoft WAF to the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
• Create automation by implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) working with tools such as Terraform, Artifactory and Backstage.
• Represent the engineering team in projects and work closely with PMs, Security, Testing, and Application teams.
• Provide SRE-level support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for complex cloud environments.
• Coach less-experienced engineers and champion collaborative knowledge-sharing.
• Engage with stakeholders, partners, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Must hold a current Security Clearance or recently lapsed SC Clearance.
• Must have deep hands-on experience with Azure, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and cloud networking.
• Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Terraform.
• Skilled at partnering with product teams to enhance their cloud capabilities and introduce modern engineering approaches.
• Prior SRE experience is beneficial, though not required.
