Job description
Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support a major energy-sector client in ensuring compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements. The role will focus on preparing and securing plant and system certifications through both internal and external audits, as well as supporting broader cyber-risk management activities across the organisation., Lead and support compliance activities aligned with local regulatory and global cybersecurity initiatives.
Deliver risk management processes, including third-party assurance and mitigation planning.
Propose and coordinate delivery of security controls to ensure risks remain within acceptable levels.
Manage internal and external audits, gathering and presenting evidence to demonstrate compliance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across operations, IT/OT, cybersecurity, and SCADA.

SCADA and digital operations teams
Senior security stakeholders (CISO/TISO level)
Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, compliance or audit roles
Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, standards, and risk frameworks
Ability to manage audits and interface with internal and external stakeholders
Experience working within highly regulated industries (e.g., energy, utilities, infrastructure)
Desirable:
Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) or SCADA environments
Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor)
