Job description
Training Strategy & Modernisation
- Lead the modernisation of training to support digital and data-enabled operations.
- Develop strategic roadmaps covering policy, process, tools, and workforce capability.
- Align Defence Digital programmes with enterprise learning strategies.
- Integrate training design with digital platforms and operational systems.
Training Needs & Development
- Conduct capability gap and training needs analysis.
- Develop targeted, blended learning solutions (classroom, digital, simulation, workplace).
- Support creation and continuous improvement of digital learning materials.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change
- Work with senior Defence stakeholders to align training with organisational priorities.
- Collaborate with Defence, industry, and academia on sustainable training solutions.
- Lead change activities and promote user-centric learning approaches.
Governance & Assurance
- Establish governance and quality assurance for training transformation.
- Ensure training products meet Defence standards and accreditation requirements.
- Contribute to business cases, benefits frameworks, and assurance artefacts.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Participate in Agile planning to align training with capability delivery.
- Work with product teams and designers to embed training in development cycles.
- Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading training or learning transformation in Defence.
- Strong understanding of digital and blended learning methods.
- Experience in training needs analysis and capability-based learning design.
- Ability to implement training governance and assurance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery settings.
- Self-starter comfortable in complex, evolving environments.
