Job description
An IT Project Manager is sought by this leading global full-service law practice, operating across over 60 offices in over 30 countries, supporting clients in both the public and private sectors. This role sits within the International Operations IT function, contributing to the delivery of high-profile technology projects across the firm. The position offers the opportunity to work within an established programme structure and support the ongoing evolution of the firm's IT capabilities., * Manage full project lifecycle - Lead projects from initial design and planning through build, testing, deployment, and lessons learned.
- Coordinate teams and suppliers - Direct day-to-day activities of internal staff and third-party vendors to achieve project goals.
- Plan and monitor progress - Create and maintain MS Project schedules, track dependencies, and report progress against key milestones.
- Identify and mitigate risks - Maintain RAID logs, resolve issues, and proactively implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Engage stakeholders - Ensure key stakeholders are informed, aligned, and updated on project progress and outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven project management experience - Minimum 5 years delivering application and infrastructure projects within complex organisations.
- Methodology expertise - PRINCE2 certified or equivalent, experienced in both agile and waterfall frameworks.
- Technical knowledge - Understanding of system design, software development lifecycles, infrastructure change, and cloud/SaaS technologies.
- Strong communication skills - Able to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences and build effective relationships.
- Leadership and problem solving - Motivates cross-functional teams, anticipates challenges, and ensures pragmatic solutions are implemented.
