About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Power BI Analyst to join the dynamic Projects and Strategic Development Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving data visualisation, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric will be an advantage as the firm continues to adopt cutting-edge technologies in its data strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Collaborate closely with IT colleagues to ensure data availability, quality, and integration across systems
- Work with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, translating them into effective data solutions
- Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies, including Microsoft Fabric
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior analysts within the team
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and security protocols
- Monitor and optimise the performance of Power BI reports and datasets
- Support the Head of Data and Business Intelligence in strategic planning and project execution
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, with expertise in Power BI development and administration
- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modelling
- Experience in data integration from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and cloud services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its components is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes
- Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment
