Job description
We are looking for a Software Engineer with solid experience in C# development to join our team working on semiconductor inspection systems utilising Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) . You will contribute to the design and implementation of software for precision control , data acquisition , and inspection workflows , supporting high-performance metrology tools used in semiconductor manufacturing., * Develop and maintain software for AFM-based semiconductor inspection systems using C# and .NET technologies.
- Implement control logic for AFM scanning , positioning systems , and feedback loops .
- Build and enhance HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications for operator dashboards.
- Assist in optimizing system performance for precision scanning and data processing .
- Collaborate with hardware and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Participate in testing and validation to meet industry standards and cleanroom requirements .
- Contribute to code reviews and follow best practices for maintainable and scalable software.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in software development with proficiency in C# , WPF, .NET Core, and Windows-based applications.
- Understanding of industrial automation , motion control , or real-time systems .
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles .
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred

Experience in other languages such as Python and C++.

Using software for real-time control of machine movement (e.g. robotics).

Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems.

Understanding of cleanroom protocols and safety standards .

Good communication skills and willingness to learn advanced technologies.

- £45,000-55,000 (depending on experience)
