Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist, the focus will be on applying cutting-edge AI, machine learning and statistical techniques to real-world national security challenges. The Senior Data Scientist will work across varied projects including exploratory research, bespoke AI solutions and large-scale data platforms, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities will include shaping projects, delivering robust models, presenting insights, and mentoring junior colleagues., * Lead and deliver AI and data science projects from concept to deployment

• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and define solutions
• Develop and deploy models across cloud-based environments
• Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Support bids, research activities and knowledge sharing across teams

• Degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline
• Strong experience as a Senior Data Scientist or similar role within industry
• Deep knowledge of AI, machine learning and statistical methods
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and pragmatically
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain UK Security Clearance
