Introduction Our client is a top-tier UK consultancy at the cutting edge of Government and Defence technology delivery. With major programmes ramping up at speed, they're hiring multiple Data Analysts on a permanent basis to turn complex data into actionable insight and drive performance across mission-critical work. Due to the sensitivity of the work, proven Defence or National Security experience is essential. Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 1-2 days per week on site. Consultants must be happy to travel up to 4 days per week to customer sites if required. Key responsibilities Design and build high-quality data solutions, including ETL pipelines, data warehouses, reporting platforms, and data virtualisation solutions. Partner closely with client stakeholders to define source-to-target mappings and support complex, large-scale data migration initiatives. Advise clients on the selection and use of data tools and technologies, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and future-ready. Lead stakeholder interviews and hands-on workshops to capture clear business and technical requirements for data-driven solutions. Support business development activity by contributing to proposals, bids, and client presentations. Collaborate across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams while actively contributing to the growth of the Delivery practice through knowledge sharing, reusable assets, training, and community engagement. Skills & experience Our client is looking for well-rounded data professionals who combine strong technical capability with commercial awareness. You'll be comfortable articulating the value of your work, collaborating with stakeholders, and applying hands-on data expertise across complex environments. Experience in some of the following areas is desirable: Demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst, translating business needs into clear functional and technical data designs. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary delivery teams. Experience working in Agile and/or DevOps environments, with a solid understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or Pentaho. Understanding of data governance and management tooling, including platforms such as Informatica MDM, AXON, EDC, or Collibra. Working knowledge of relational and cloud data platforms, including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL technologies. Familiarity with programming languages used in data engineering and analytics, such as Spark or Python. Candidates will bring hands-on experience with one or more of the following data and analytics disciplines: Data integration, including ETL and ELT pipelines Data migration across complex legacy and modern
