Job description

Complete remote role with quarterly meet-ups and customer site visits., We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and self-motivated DevOps Engineer to join our growing team on a UK-first, PKI project. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a DevOps Engineer who has expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and modern DevOps practices while contributing to scalable, secure systems from day one., Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure as code tools such as:

Terraform,

GitHub Actions,

Ansible.

Ensure infrastructure is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.

Leverage GitHub for code management, including utilizing GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Configure and monitor telemetry: metrics, logs, traces with AWS and hybrid environments

Implement 'secure by design' principles across all aspects of project work. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet project goals.

Requirements

3-4 years of experience minimum working in cloud environments, either AWS or Azure, in a devops engineer role.

Personal Specification:

Essential:

AWS - Understanding of core services including IAM, EC2, RDS, VPC, Secrets Manager,

Lambda, etc. Terraform - Basic knowledge of infrastructure as code principles and Terraform

fundamentals.

Containerisation - Understanding of Docker and basic container orchestration concepts.

Linux/Unix - Basic system administration skills and command-line proficiency.

GitHub Actions - Knowledge of continuous integration/deployment concepts using

GitHub Actions.

Scripting Languages - Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, etc.

Beneficial:-

Experience supporting DevSecOps and/or SRE Functions.

Understanding of PKI functions and services.

Previous exposure to monitoring tools: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana,

CloudWatch

Experience in a Start-Up/Scale-Up environment.

Understanding of physical networking services and provisions.

Understanding Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
