BESS Associate - Battery Energy Storage Systems

• Perform due diligence on prospective investments within the credit space, with a focus on private credit strategies across direct lending and opportunistic credit, including meeting with potential borrowers, doing deep dives on the business, industry/strategy research, financial modeling, and putting together investment materials.
• Working with other members of the investment team to diligence, and underwrite investment opportunities, leveraging Blackstone's various groups where appropriate.
• Building comprehensive financial models and evaluating various cases and types of deal structures.
• Drafting and presenting memorandums for investment committees.
• Monitoring existing investments including tracking KPI's and continuously challenging the validity of the investment thesis.
• Thinking creatively about ways to improve the team's existing processes., Depending on the position, you may be required to obtain certain securities licenses if you are in a client facing role and/or if you are engaged in the following:
• Attending client meetings where you are discussing Blackstone products and/or and client questions;
• Marketing Blackstone funds to new or existing clients;
• Supervising or training securities licensed employees;
• Structuring or creating Blackstone funds/products; and
• Advising on marketing plans prepared by a sales team or developing and/or contributing information for marketing materials.

Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, a successful candidate will have:
