Job description
Do you have experience with SOC tooling such as IDPS, Firewalls, SIEM, Splunk, etc.?

As the Cyber Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
You will be involved in:
- Stand as an escalation point for all SOC operational engineering activity
- Responsible for the transition of projects from the System Design team into the SOC operations ensuring impact analysis, capacity and availability management are considered prior to accepting new projects
- Support SOC Engineers & Analyst activity
- Supports change & release management activity
- Toolset availability and capacity management review and escalation
- Maintain currency in security concepts, tools, and best practices
- Engagement with the R&D Cyber Defence Centre for company Cyber Solutions/Products
Requirements
- Good knowledge of multiple SOC tooling including IDPS/Firewalls/SIEM/Splunk/Email & Web Protection etc.
- Experience implementing and fault-finding Firewall technologies including Cisco ASR/Palo Alto/Fortinet
- Excellent understanding of network technologies
- Experience in Scripting and programming
- Experience in Windows and RedHat server systems and implementation of CIS hardening
