Job description

Reporting to the Lead BI Engineer you will ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and alignment with business objectives. You'll drive innovation in BI tools and processes to enable self-service analytics and actionable insights across the organisation.

You will also:

  • Ensure best practices in database architecture, ETL processes, and BI reporting using Microsoft BI Stack
  • Provide day-to-day management for all assigned staff, including input to appraisals, recruitment, and training plans. You'll mentor team members and identify training needs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.
  • Drive the development of Power BI models, cubes, and dashboards to support self-service BI.
  • Manage workload prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery timelines for BI projects.
  • Oversee production support, including daily data refreshes, month end processes, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain documentation standards for technical and business specifications., All postholders will be subject to appropriate pre-employment vetting procedures and a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to appointment.

  • Proven experience in BI development and data engineering.
  • Advanced SQL, Microsoft BI Stack and PowerBI expertise.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.

It would be ideal if you have experience within the financial services sector as well as experience with Microsoft Azure and Fabric.
