Data Analyst Course Programme

A leading insurer is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join their high-profile Portfolio Management team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support a range of underwriting divisions, with an initial focus on Specialty Lines such as War & Terror, Fine Art, Equine, Contingency and A&H.

The Role:

• Support the coordination of underwriting activity across multiple divisions
• Work closely with Portfolio Managers to deliver strategic initiatives and drive portfolio performance
• Produce high-quality MI, reporting and analytics for underwriters and leadership
• Analyse data to check accuracy, identify trends and contribute to business plan forecasting
• Assist with revenue reporting, portfolio optimisation and remediation activity
• Help prepare for key governance meetings, quarterly reviews and underwriting strategy away days
• Act as a first point of contact for internal queries and represent Portfolio Managers when required
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Risk, Compliance and other key functions
• Ensure accurate and timely data for planning, reinsurance reporting and internal reviews
• Support junior team members with coaching and day-to-day guidance

• Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with data, checks, and analysis)
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of the insurance market
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
