Job description

As our Head of Data & Analytics, you'll shape the strategy and execution of Cadent's entire data and analytics function. You'll create a culture where data drives decisions, innovation thrives, and advanced technologies like AI deliver real business value. You'll lead a team of specialists across Data Governance & Quality, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Open Data, and Data Automation & AI. From setting standards and policies to driving adoption of cutting-edge tools, you'll ensure data is accurate, secure, and used ethically whilst ensuring governance and compliance. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, regulators, and industry partners to deliver a robust data strategy aligned with Cadent's goals. Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience. Practical Experience

  • Understands regulatory requirements, relevant data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, EU AI Act and CCPA, and industry-specific standards

  • Strong IT Senior Leadership experience

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and developing talent

  • Strong understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical modelling, and data visualisation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Evidence of vendor/stakeholder management qualities.

  • People management skills including tackling behavioural issues, performance management, setting

  • objectives etc.

  • Experience in developing business cases for financial investment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex data-related challenges

  • A strong strategic influencer able to collaborate effectively with IT and business colleagues in order to deliver business advantage

  • Strong track record of IT delivery in fast paced regulatory environment.

  • Extensive experience of utilising a combination of in-house and third-party suppliers and of building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with vendors.

  • Able to combine rigour and discipline with a pragmatic approach to delivering the highest quality, cost effective solutions in demanding time-frames. Exhibits strong business and commercial acumen
