Job DescriptionSoftware Test EngineerAnnual Salary: Up to £50KLocation: Enfield, UK (3 days a week on-site)Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. This role involves building and testing software to support the company's products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in software testing, particularly for PCs running Windows.Day-to-day of the role:Build and test software to support the company's products and servicesProduce and maintain software build and software test specificationsServe as a technical liaison within and outside the organisation, with customers, and collaborators on software-related mattersImprove the testability of software by identifying and implementing enhancementsUndertake additional project tasks as required by managementPerform any other tasks associated with this role, including occasional travel to visit and sail with ships in the UK and abroadRequired Skills

& Qualifications:Technical background with a good understanding of the Software Engineering Lifecycle, particularly test and integrationProficiency in scripting/programming languages to help automate builds and testingGood communication skills and proficiency with MS OfficeAt least 1 year's practical experience of testing software for PCs running WindowsExperience in writing test plans, specifications, and reportsExperience in building software & software installers is desirableExperience in a similar position within a Technical/Engineering organisation is preferredGood Engineering Degree with Software Content or equivalent (lower qualification considered if backed up by relevant experience)Benefits:Competitive salaryOpportunities for professional growth and developmentDynamic and supportive work environmentTravel opportunities to engage with cutting-edge technology in real-world applications
