Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes experience and ideally experience of virtualisation projects is needed to support our Higher Education client to implement infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications within social science applications., The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for will implement infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications and associated services on private cloud (on-prem) infrastructure using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes.

Senior DevOps Engineer- Kubernetes- Virtualisation- Essential Experience

• Experience deploying applications with Kubernetes
• Expert level skills and expertise in Kubernetes
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code development (Terraform).
• Ability to liaise with end-users to gather requirements, ensuring that application deployments meet their needs and that available resources are used efficiently.
• Experience of working on Virtualisation projects, awareness of VMware
• Experience of using Ansible and GitHub.

Senior DevOps Engineer- Kubernetes- Virtualisation- Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of public/private cloud
• Experience within a Higher Education environment, particularly working with research/academic stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of python and Rstudio or Rancher or Kubernetes cluster on Harvester.
