Job description

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support on-site
  • Work closely with the helpdesk team to resolve support tickets
  • Escalate and collaborate with third-party suppliers when required
  • Conduct audits and provide recommendations to enhance the school's IT environment
  • Manage incidents and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Assist and support other members of the IT team

Requirements

Do you have experience in WAN?, The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who enjoys problem-solving and taking initiative to deliver effective technical solutions, always keeping user needs as the top priority.

Technologies you'll work with include Windows Desktop, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Chromebooks, and Apple technologies. Any networking experience would be advantageous., * Strong technical skills, particularly with Microsoft desktop and server products, including virtualisation technologies

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar IT support role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client-focused with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Keen interest in emerging technologies
  • Confident decision-maker with sound judgement
  • Highly motivated, setting and achieving challenging goals
  • Committed to continuous improvement and quality standards
  • Familiarity with: Windows 11, Printing solutions, Microsoft 365, While no formal qualifications are strictly required, relevant work experience, a good all-round standard of education, and solid knowledge of current IT technologies are essential.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple support tickets
  • Group Policy management
  • Mobile Device Management experience
  • Deployment and maintenance of Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Server 2019 onwards, Active Directory, PowerShell, backups, Hyper-V, VMware, and failover clustering
  • Networking knowledge: LAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, switches, managed Wi-Fi, firewalls, and routers
  • Knowledge of Kaseya, and Datto solutions would be advantageous
