Job description

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with a strong interest in technology who wants hands-on experience supporting real-world software and hardware solutions. This is an office-based role, working from our Fleet/Farnborough office, and is not suitable for remote or home working.

You'll be trained to support Idency's authentication, facial recognition, and time & attendance products, working closely with customers and internal teams.

No previous support experience is required - just the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn., * Provide first-line technical support for Idency's software platform and associated hardware

  • Assist customers with setup, configuration and troubleshooting of software and biometric devices
  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and ticketing system in a professional and timely manner
  • Take ownership of support cases and see issues through to resolution
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while keeping customers informed
  • Assist with system testing, basic configuration and documentation
  • Help keep internal knowledge base and support documentation up to date
  • Provide assistance with website content updates and system checks

Requirements

Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Highly motivated with a genuine interest in technology and IT systems

  • Confident, personable, and comfortable speaking to customers
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Logical thinker with good problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Calm and professional under pressure
  • Reliable team player with a positive attitude
  • Keen to learn and develop technical skills over time, * Previous technical support experience not required
  • Good general understanding of IT, software, hardware and modern technology
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Any IT-related qualifications, coursework, or personal projects are a bonus but not essential, * A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
