SC Cleared Test Engineer

Our client, a leading organisation supporting the Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme (ESMCP), is hiring for a Test Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital project upgrading UK emergency communications to 4G/5G-based Push-To-Talk (PTT) Mission Critical Communications (MCX).

What you'll be doing: Develop and produce Test Specification, Test Procedure, and Test Report documents for mobile devices, applications, and accessories. Specify, write, and execute tests, focusing on certifying that new devices and applications do not impair MCX capability. Automate testing processes using tools like National Instruments Test Stand. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including prime contractors and subcontractors. Support testing at QinetiQ's Malvern facility and remotely, with occasional site visits to Malvern.

Proven experience in testing and acceptance of software and systems. Strong understanding of mobile device OS testing, particularly Android, and mobile applications. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as National Instruments Test Stand. Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse teams. Knowledge of security best practices related to mobile and software testing. Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation.
