Job description

We're looking for a skilled .NET Developer with strong experience in C# and backend development to join our growing technology team. You'll be responsible for building scalable, maintainable solutions using .NET technologies and leveraging cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability applications using C#.

  • Build RESTful Web APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Implement Azure Functions for serverless computing solutions.
  • Utilise Azure API Management (APIM) to create, document, and manage APIs in a secure and scalable environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions within the Hastings Direct infrastructure.
  • Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and deployment processes.
  • Stay current with the latest .NET and Azure features to drive innovation within the company.

Requirements

  • Proficient in C# with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications using .NET Core / .NET 6+.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and continuous improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and tools such as Octane, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Comfortable working in Visual Studio and related development tools.

Desirable:

  • Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Functions, Application Insights, App Configuration
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, and mocking tools like Moq.
  • Relevant Azure certifications
