Job description

As a Technology Architecture Lead at HSBC UK, you will drive the strategic direction and delivery of technology architecture across multiple value streams. You'll lead a cross-functional team, collaborating closely with business architecture and design teams to ensure alignment with HSBC Group strategies and external standards. Your role will involve overseeing the creation and management of Functional Solution Architectures (FSAs), influencing investment decisions, and managing the application landscape for transformation and optimisation. You'll promote architectural best practices, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and mentor teams to foster a collaborative and innovative environment. Staying abreast of technology trends, you'll advise stakeholders on emerging opportunities and impacts, contributing to the successful delivery of HSBC UK's business outcomes. Responsibilities Lead Cross-Value Stream Teams: Lead a small cross value stream team covering technology architecture for HSBC UK, collaborating closely with business architecture and design teams. Oversee Architecture Alignment: Oversee and embed the creation of Functional Solution Architectures (FSA), ensuring alignment with HSBC Group and UK Technology strategies, as well as external standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with primary stakeholders to influence strategic investment decisions and technology outcomes. Application Landscape Management: Manage the overall application landscape and lifecycles for transformation, consolidation, or rationalisation in partnership with UK and global teams. Promote Best Practices: Promote the benefits of architecture, best practice techniques, standards, and tools within HSBC UK and across the Group. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, including operational risk management and adherence to ethical standards. Mentor and Inspire Teams: Educate, inspire, motivate, and mentor teams, fostering a sense of community among HSBC UK technology teams and global counterparts., Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve. Requirements

Do you have experience in TOGAF?, Enterprise Architecture Roadmap Creation: Substantial experience in developing enterprise-level architecture roadmaps. Technology Delivery Experience: Experience delivering within technology environments such as Mainframe, IBM iSeries, distributed compute, and Cloud architecture. Global Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence global and complex teams across multiple locations within an enterprise level organisation and ability to interact at executive level within the business as well as Technology Executive Interaction: Ability to interact effectively at the executive level within both business and technology domains. Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling effective cross-functional collaboration across diverse teams. Influencing and Promoting Change: Strong capability to influence, promote new ideas, and drive direction within the organisation. Working knowledge of Architecture methodologies: Such as TOGAF (preferred) or Zachman
