Job description
Join imec's cutting-edge silicon photonics team as an RF Test Engineer, specializing in high-frequency electrical-optical measurements. What you will do
- Perform comprehensive characterization of silicon photonic components, including optical, electrical, and electro-optical interfaces.
- Execute wafer-level probing and testing (a strong plus) for device validation and yield analysis.
- Develop and optimize automated test procedures for accurate and repeatable measurements.
- Operate and maintain photonic test setups, including optical sources, detectors, and relevant instrumentation.
- Implement Python-based automation for instrument control, data acquisition, and analysis.
- Analyse and interpret measurement data to ensure compliance with design and performance specifications.
- Collaborate closely with design, packaging, and reliability teams to provide feedback and improve device performance.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Python?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree in electrical engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
- Strong background in photonic device characterization.
- Experience with wafer-level probing systems (strong plus).
- Proficiency in Python for instrument control and automation.
- Familiarity with silicon photonics and optical components.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
