Senior Software Development EngineerLocation: Malvern, Farnborough and Southampton/Portsmouth (Hybrid working available) Package: Competitive Salary + Benefits Hours: 37 hours per week Security Clearance: SC clearance (or eligibility) requiredAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join a highly capable engineering team delivering complex, mission-critical systems within the defence and national security domain.You will work on projects spanning the full technology lifecycle - from early proof-of-concept and demonstrators through to fully deployed production systems - across a range of advanced capability areas. and Maritime domainsDesigning, developing and testing high-quality software in line with industry best practiceApplying your expertise across the full software development lifecycleContributing to and influencing systems architecture and technical design decisionsCollaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and customer-facing delivery teamsChampioning modern development practices to enable efficient delivery and high-quality outcomesBuilding strong relationships within the customer community to support ongoing programmes and future growthEssential ExperienceStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle with experience delivering complex software systemsExperience contributing to and influencing systems architecture and designProficiency with Java, Spring, and ReactExperience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)Strong background in Agile software engineering practices (Scrum, CI/CD, BDD)Experience using Git, GitLab, and Jira to manage and drive development Location &
