Job description
We are working with my client to hire a .NET Engineer with 4-5 years' commercial experience to join a growing engineering team. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys building robust, scalable applications and collaborating closely with other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions., As a .NET Engineer, you will be involved across the full development lifecycle, contributing to the design, build, and maintenance of modern software solutions. You'll work in an environment that values clean code, continuous improvement, and pragmatic engineering., * Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core
- Build and consume RESTful APIs
- Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, including schema design and performance optimisation
- Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering colleagues to deliver features end-to-end
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards
- Support and maintain existing systems, identifying opportunities for improvement
Requirements
- 4-5 years of commercial experience as a .NET Engineer or Software Developer
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and modern development practices
- Solid understanding of SQL and data modelling
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with front-end technologies (e.g. JavaScript, React, or Angular)
- Exposure to microservices or distributed systems
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks
