Deliver features with a focus on quality, predictability and throughput

Work in a nimble, agile environment which embraces uncertainty and evolving requirements

Collaborate with engineers from other teams to align on design and contribution guidelines

Identify engineering challenges and drive them from ideation through to delivery

Perform technical discovery work prior to work being brought into the backlog

Ensure our solutions are testable, intuitive and easy to maintain

Drive good engineering principles, patterns, and practices

Be an advocate for great developer experience

Participate in design and code reviews

Celebrate team achievements and failures

Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications and systems

Completes software builds through consistent development practices, including the use of tools, common components, and documentation with guidance from peers and leaders

Completes code reviews and automated testing to maintain high-quality code standards with guidance from peers and leaders

Supports and monitors software across test, integration, and production environments
-
Adheres to security and regulatory best practices to ensure software compliance
-
Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Requirements
-
Proven track record of delivering great software solutions
-
Depth of knowledge and ability to demonstrate hands-on coding in at least one language from Java, Kotlin, Go and Python

Application design, software development, and testing experience in an agile environment
-
Excited by learning and experimenting with new languages and technology and translating this into working software
-
Willing to take risks and share fresh perspectives
-
Self-directed and able to work in an ambiguous environment through the innovation process
-
Values collaboration and puts team interests first
-
Contributions to open source/InnerSource projects is a plus
-
Experience in application design, software development, and automated testing
-
Experience in object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages
-
Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
-
Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories
-
Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance)
