Senior Data Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join RAC on a 4-month fixed-term contract, working closely with the Pricing Team and aligning with the Data Engineering Team to deliver a critical migration project., * Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable data solutions, ensuring best practice and resilience.

• Drive a major migration project, converting SQL Server to Snowflake, and implement DBT for transformation workflows.
• Collaborate with Pricing Analysts and Data Scientists to develop cloud-hosted data assets that enhance pricing capability.
• Promote best practices across the data engineering lifecycle and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Ensure architecture and technologies remain relevant and capable of meeting RAC's evolving business needs.

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, with strong leadership skills
• Expertise in Snowflake and DBT - essential for this role.
• Strong knowledge of MS BI Stack, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Power BI, and the Azure Cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience in data migration projects, particularly SQL Server to Snowflake.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with a passion for automation and rigorous testing.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
