Job description
Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Web Hosting team to scale and improve the infrastructure supporting our shared hosting platform. Your mission will be to build, maintain, and optimize the software components powering our WebHosting services, in order to deliver a stable, scalable, and reliable experience to all our users. YOUR FUTURE TEAM We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together. You will be part of a team of 3 people. The Web Hosting team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the platform that enables thousands of customers to host their websites and associated services (databases, mail, FTP, backups, and more). From performance tuning to managing incidents, the team ensures the smooth operation of our shared hosting infrastructure. YOUR DAILY ROUTINE
- Maintain and evolve our shared hosting infrastructure (mail, web, DB)
- Ensure high availability and minimize downtime
- Develop internal tools to enhance platform stability and performance
- Handle production issues and resolve alerts rapidly
- Monitor systems and identify areas of improvement
- Improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD practices
- Contribute to containerization efforts (Docker and related tech)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust features
- Write and maintain documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements
Do you have experience in System administration?, * Strong knowledge of Bash scripting and one or more of: Go, Python, Perl, PHP
- Experience with Apache, Nginx, HaProxy, php-fpm
- Production experience with Docker or container technologies
- Good grasp of networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Proficient with Git, GitLab, CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of Ansible and RabbitMQ
- Solid Linux system administration experience
- English fluency
