Security Engineer

• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of intruder alarm systems
• Installation and servicing of CCTV systems (IP and analogue)
• Installation and maintenance of access control systems
• Fault diagnosis and repair of security systems
• Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
• Basic installation and servicing of fire alarm systems (where required)
• Completing job reports and system documentation
• Providing excellent customer service on site , communicating effectively with customers and answering any on site queries
• Ensuring all work complies with current standards and regulations
• Participating in an on call rota (This will be 1 in 5)

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Computer networking?, knowledge of intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, with some fire alarm experience desirable as we are a multi-discipline service provider, * Must be able to work out of hours and travel nationwide

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role

Strong working knowledge of:

• Intruder alarm systems
• CCTV systems
• Access control systems
• Ability to fault-find and work independently
• Good understanding of security system standards and best practices
• Full UK driving license
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
• Desirable Skills & Qualifications
• Some experience with fire alarm systems
• Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. ECS, IPAF, FIA units, manufacturer training)
• Experience working in commercial environments
• Network / IP knowledge for CCTV systems
• Documentation
• DBS certification (essential and will be undertaken as part of the vetting process).
• BS7858 vetting to be started.
• Beneficial certifications: ECS, IPAF, or similar qualifications.
• Industry based system and equipment training beneficial
