Founding Software Engineer

We are hiring on behalf of a UK-based, venture-backed AI startup client building AI voice receptionists for home services businesses. This is the final founding engineer hire, offering real ownership over product and technical direction from day one., * Build and ship core AI product features end-to-end.

• Work primarily in Python across backend, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Collaborate directly with customers to deliver real-world outcomes.
• Balance speed and scalability in a fast-moving startup environment.

Tech Stack

• Python (FastAPI), Postgres
• TypeScript, Next.js
• GCP, Kubernetes
• LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini), Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech

• 5-10 years of backend-leaning engineering experience.
• Strong Python experience.
• Some experience with LLMs or AI products.
• Early-stage startup experience strongly preferred.
• Having worked with customers is a plus.
• A founder- or founding-engineer mindset is a plus.
• Able to work 5 days/week on-site in London.

• £100,000 - £160,000 base salary.
