Java Developer - Remote - 12 Months

Location: Remote with occasional visits in one of the following (Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Blackpool, Glasgow or Cardiff) Clearance: BPSS Stages: 2 Stages

Must have Government experience, * Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Java, Node.js, and TypeScript.

• Write efficient and secure Shell Scripts to support automation and system tasks.
• Work within a Linux environment to deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes.
• Ensure best practices in software development, including version control, CI/CD, and documentation.

• Proven professional experience in Java and Node.js development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems.
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining Shell Scripts.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
