Job description
Create solutions and designs for projects to meet the Customer standards for technology and ensure they meet ambitions for availability, security, resilience, and performance
Produce design options with associated costs, benefits, and risks to enable investment decisions
Work with product owners, architects, platform teams, and project colleagues to agree trade-offs between long-term and short-term goals
Be responsible for the integrity of the end-to-end solution across platforms, including transition states used to achieve the target state
Shape and estimate IT initiatives and feature team sprints, ensuring delivery against business outcomes
Provide leadership on key designs to meet long-term strategic goals and short-term project needs
Ensure design artefacts are produced to support service, security, architecture, and engineering stakeholders
Peer review design artefacts of others
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to less experienced team members
Contribute to the Solution Architecture community across the Customer Group
Develop technical skills to support understanding and exploitation of emerging technology trends
Identify, own, and manage specific key risks and IT controls
Ensure issues and actions related to risks and controls are remediated in a timely manner
Maintain appropriate records and report or escalate risk and control status as appropriate
Work within policy and guidelines while applying technical expertise and prioritizing time effectively
Solve project-based problems in line with policy, process, and guidelines
Recommend design solutions or ideas in response to project or feature team challenges
Build effective working relationships with project managers, platform managers, specialists, architects, and designers
Maintain liaison with suppliers and relevant technology sources
Requirements
Do you have experience in Solution architecture?, Must have
Insurance Domain Architecture: Strong understanding of insurance business processes and systems, with experience designing solutions across policy, claims, billing, or employee benefits platforms.
End-to-End Solution Design: Proven ability to define holistic solution architectures covering functional, non-functional, service, and security requirements.
Cloud & Modern Architecture: Experience designing scalable, resilient solutions using cloud platforms and modern architectural patterns (e.g., APIs, microservices).
Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong experience working in Agile environments, collaborating with product owners, platform teams, and delivery teams to drive outcomes.
Security, Risk & Governance: Ability to design compliant solutions, manage architectural risks and controls, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
