Job description
Your team's mission is to empower Foodles operational teams (finance, account management, logistics, supply chain) with great tools that automate repetitive tasks, reduce shadow IT and increase data quality.
To achieve this mission, your team undertakes the following key activities:
- develop new and pre-existing Odoo modules, some of which are open source, focusing on supply management and invoicing;
- connect our various business SAAS together via API; and
- help other teams in their own missions (we do not work in silos!)
Some of the projects that we have on the roadmap for your team are :
- change in accounting tools;
- food waste reduction through better stock management and tracking;
- improve and expand the integration of our external Warehouse Management System (WMS) to our other warehouses;
- improve the integration with our Transport Management System (TMS);
- integrate other offers' supply chain into the WMS; and
- continue to migrate our ERP from version 14 to version 17.
Your future work environment
The tools that you'll use on a daily basis are :
- our ERP: the open source Python 3.10 FrameworkOdoo 14 (soon version 17)
- our Backend for client facing apps (mobile, web, fridge, counter): A Python 3.11 / Django 5.2 project deployed on Heroku and using a Postgres database; and
- top tier solutions to collaborate on our codebase and monitor our production: GitHub / GitHub Actions / Codecov / Datadog (logs & APM) / Sentry.
If you want to have a more precise understanding of our stack you can have a look at those slides: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1G_n8vE8D7tiTeb9Q-dTK_qlwSOZmqRcX5mYRjj2-Drg/edit?pli=1#slide=id.p
Mastery of our stack is not a must have. We know that languages and frameworks evolve (very quickly). We are looking for talented engineers who want to work on our stack.
Our development team crafted a hybrid methodology, combining Kanban and Shape Up. We run 6-week Kanban cycles followed by a 2-week cool-down for addressing technical roadmap. This approach was devised by the developers themselves to balance stakeholder needs with code maintenance. It's a tailored solution that reflects our team's autonomy and understanding of both business and technical requirements.
Each work unit is defined through tasks: simple, short, well described with a list of exhaustive and concrete goals. A product owner is dedicated to the team and handles communication with stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
- write the code, including tests and coverage, for the team's various KANBAN tasks;
- review the code of other members of the tech team ;
- share your knowledge and practices with other team members (techtalk, pair programming);
- participate in the design of our offers and products in support of business teams;
- reflect and propose improvements to our organizations through retrospective., * Interview with your future manager Alexandre and two other members of the team
- Meeting with the CTO Lucas ( Clichy 92)
- Reference checks by our CTO Lucas
