Job description

As a Senior FPGA Engineer at Philips, you will work on the full lifecycle of firmware for medical devices-ranging from early prototypes to production-ready solutions.

  • Design and implement digital designs (primarily VHDL on FPGA) for next-generation imaging and monitoring systems.
  • Participate in requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and release.
  • Ensure compliance with quality norms and participate in design/code reviews.
  • Develop automated unit tests and integration tests within chosen frameworks.
  • Estimate work, contribute to planning, and maintain personal/team backlogs.
  • Document developed software and report progress in a structured manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in VHDL and/or Verilog coding.
  • Experienced in working with major FPGA vendors and their tools.
  • Proven track record in implementing high-speed design and high-speed interfaces.
  • Strong analytical skills in problem solving using system debug and functional simulation test benches.
  • Skilled in using version control, CI/CD pipelines and regression tests frameworks.
  • Experienced in writing specifications and design documentation.
  • Proven track record working in cross-functional teams.

The team utilizes the power and flexibility of FPGA and SoC platforms to implement and connect signal processing in high bandwidth streaming applications. We combine expertise in VHDL development, digital signal processing, FPGA design, and medical-grade firmware engineering to deliver high-quality solutions that meet strict regulatory standards., We believe that we are better together than apart.
