Job description

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer (SFIA Level 4) to support the delivery of secure, cloud-native services within a high-profile programme. This role will focus on building, maintaining and improving AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and containerised platforms that support Node.js and TypeScript based microservices.

The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to enable reliable, automated and scalable deployments across AWS., * Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.

  • Support and operate cloud-native services using AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, ECR, DocumentDB).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
  • Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Enable deployment and operation of Node.js and TypeScript applications.
  • Implement monitoring, logging and operational best practices across AWS environments.
  • Work closely with developers to improve build, release and deployment processes.
  • Ensure platforms are secure, reliable and aligned to DevOps and cloud best practice.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, ECR, DocumentDB).
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
  • Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Node.js and TypeScript application deployment.
  • Experience supporting cloud-native and microservices architectures.
  • Strong Linux, Git and automation skills.
  • Experience working in secure, controlled environments.
