Job description

Would you be interested in joining a small (50 people), but rapidly growing organisation, that helps businesses build, secure and scale in the cloud? Modern engineering, without the chaos.

You'll be pivotal in helping organisations to architect, implement, and optimise solutions tailored to their unique needs.

The team behind this opportunity was formed by experienced cloud engineers who first collaborated on transforming digital delivery for large-scale government services. Built on that real-world expertise, the organisation was founded 8 years ago, with a clear mission: to simplify cloud-native adoption and empower engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure without unnecessary complexity.

Your role:

  • Work closely with customer teams to understand their existing platforms, uncover inefficiencies, and shape pragmatic cloud and DevOps improvement plans.
  • Architect and deliver cloud-native systems that are built to scale, remain highly available, and meet modern security standards.
  • Drive the adoption of automated delivery practices, including CI/CD workflows, infrastructure defined through code, and repeatable deployment patterns.
  • Support and coach less-experienced engineers, helping to raise technical standards and encouraging ongoing skills development across the team.
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business goals into clear technical priorities and delivery outcomes.
  • Contribute to defining project scope and effort, taking ownership of smaller engagements and ensuring work is delivered as agreed on time and within constraints.

Requirements

  • Strong background in building and running cloud platforms that are designed for scale, reliability, and security.
  • Hands-on experience automating infrastructure using code-driven approaches and modern tooling.
  • Practical knowledge of container platforms and orchestration in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of public cloud architecture and services, with a focus on Azure-based solutions.
  • Experience working with modern delivery practices, including CI/CD workflows, source control, and container-based builds.
